Particles containing the heavy bottom (b) quark decay into particles containing the charm (c) quark. Measuring the lifetimes for this decay gives important information about the weak interaction, e.g. the CKM matrix element |Vcb|. The lifetimes of the charged Bu and neutral Bd meson have been measured using 19.3 pb-1 of $$\bar{p}$$p collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV recorded by the CDF experiment at Fermilab during the 1992-93 Tevatron Collider Run 1A.
