A Parabolized Navier-Stokes (PNS) flow solver is described for large-scale simulations on massively parallel computers. The initial parallel implementation followed traditional message passing paradigms such as Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) library calls. A more recent version of the code has been developed for the Cray T3D which takes advantage of the machine`s logically shared, globally addressable memory. The new version of the code offers improved performance while greatly simplifying the code`s interprocessor communication routines. Performance results for the Cray T3D implementation are presented along with comparisons to other massively parallel architectures.
