The kinApps package provides modeling support for kinematically linked mechanisms within the Umbra framework. This includes features such as forward kinematics and automatically computed inverse kinematics. Objects have a base class that defines the parent/child relationship via Umbra "posrots". Derived classes support shapes, collision models, lighting, moving joints, billboards, point features, etc. An interactive graphical user interface allows the operator to create and develop up kinematic worlds with multiple moving mechanisms.
