Beam dynamics modeling in RFQ with CST Particle Studio

Starting with a detailed engineering CAD model, an electromagnetic analysis of the 4-rod FNAL RFQ was performed using the CST MicroWave Studio (MWS). The MWS-calculated RF fields are used for PIC modeling of beam dynamics in the RFQ with CST Particle Studio (PS). This technical note describes our PS modeling and summarizes its results for the FNAL RFQ.
