Third quarter 1988 output from Chamber of Mines producers totalled 2,314,033 pounds U3O8, an 11.27 percent decrease from the second quarter of 1988. Two South African mines have discontinued uranium production this year - Driefontien Consolidated and Randfontein - furthering the declining production trend.
