The problem of graphic representation of multicomponent systems in three-dimensional space is rather complicated. It is easy to represent a binary system: it is represented by a straight segment whose end points correspond to its components. To represent compositions of ternary systems, one often uses so called Gibbs and Roozeboom triangles, wheras, compositions of a reciprocal ternary system are represented by a Yeneke square. Using II-VI comopund semiconductors as an example, we proposed a complex composition prism that allows one to graphically represent all possible systems formed by zinc, cadmium, and tellurium chalcogenides. This prism can be used for graphic representations and interactions in other compounds consisting of three cations and three anions.
