  1. New England Power Planning, Holyoke, MA (United States)
Residential short-and long-run own-price elasticities of electricity demand for New England have been estimated by new England Power Planning (NEPLAN), the long-range planning department of the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL). Pooled cross-sectional time-series date for 20 NEPOOL utilities for the period 1980-1990 were used to estimate average short-and long-run residential electricity own-price elasticities. Short-run elasticity was estimated to be -0.3, and its long-run counterpart -0.5.
