Relationships for steady-state saturation profiles have been derived for linear immiscible displacement in a uniform porous media including relative permeability and capillary pressure effects. These profiles are of constant shape and translate in the porous media with time. The shape of these profiles has been determined for the injection of a nonwetting (wetting) fluid into a porous media initially saturated with a wetting (nonwetting) fluid. The effect of different two-phase characteristic curves including Brooks and Corey, Parker et al., and the Sandia Functions has been evaluated.
