Financial support to assist universities in acquiring state-of-the-art technology is needed to overcome widening obsolescence in instrumentation. Six appendices with financial documentation and reports submitted for the record by the Defense Department, the National Association of Independent Schools, the National Institutes of Health, and others, follows the testimony of the 12 witnesses, who participated in three panels during the hearing.
