Testing of Irradiated and Nonirradiated IIT747 Antifoam in Simulated Sludge Processing
The Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) has experienced problems with foaming in the Sludge Receipt and Adjustment Tank (SRAT) and Slurry Mix Evaporator (SME) during transfer and processing of sludge. Two experiments were completed to compare the performance of irradiated and nonirradiated IIT747 antifoam.
