This book is based on the fundamentals of geotechnics and hydrology, with chapters on hydraulics, hydrogeology, pedology, hydrochemistry, meteorology and mathematical statistics also included. In the first part of the book, theoretical and methodological problems are dealt with, and mathematical - primarily probabilistic - methods are also discussed. The second part presents methods of obtaining solutions to practical problems. Through numerous examples and statistical relationships, the author demonstrates that there are considerable temporal changes in the soil properties due to changes in the groundwater level.
