Production and trapping of antimatter for space propulsion applications
- Laboratory for Elementary Particle Science Department of Physics Pennsylvania State University University Park, Pennsylvania16802 (United States)
Production and trapping of antiprotons for space propulsion applications are reviewed. Present and foreseeable production rates at Fermilab are discussed, and experiments on trapping, confinement and transport of large quantities of antiprotons, as well as synthesis of atomic antihydrogen, are outlined. {copyright} {ital 1997 American Institute of Physics.}
