Perma pulls oil-to-coal switch

Shows how Perma Resources Corp. (Colorado) is directing some of its oil-generated capital back into the coal business as a result of the softening of the coal market. Predicts that there will be a 20% annual growth in demand for western coal over the next 7-8 yrs. Reports that Perma's current oil and gas operations include activities in 4 states and 200 operating wells. Points out that the location of the Walsenburg mine in southern Colorado, along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, gives Perma an advantage in rail mileage over virtually all western coals in the Texas markets.
