This paper discusses a typical deterministic approach to address the hydrogen detonation issues contained in the U.S. NRC`c Commission`s generic letter 93-06. This letter references a General Electric letter reported on under 10 CFR 21 regarding the potential for the rupture of a hydrogen supply line to the generator. Several BWR plants were evaluated.
