Materials Data on Ge3Sb by Materials Project
Ge3Sb is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ge is bonded to eight equivalent Ge and four equivalent Sb atoms to form distorted GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent SbGe12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent SbGe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra. All Ge–Ge bond lengths are 3.13 Å. All Ge–Sb bond lengths are 3.13 Å. Sb is bonded to twelve equivalent Ge atoms to form SbGe12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent SbGe12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent SbGe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent GeGe8Sb4 cuboctahedra.
