Materials Data on Np3Al by Materials Project
Np3Al is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np is bonded to eight equivalent Np and four equivalent Al atoms to form NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent AlNp12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent AlNp12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra. All Np–Np bond lengths are 3.05 Å. All Np–Al bond lengths are 3.05 Å. Al is bonded to twelve equivalent Np atoms to form AlNp12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent AlNp12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent AlNp12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent NpNp8Al4 cuboctahedra.
