Materials Data on VIr3 by Materials Project
Ir3V is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. V is bonded to twelve equivalent Ir atoms to form VIr12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent VIr12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent VIr12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra. All V–Ir bond lengths are 2.71 Å. Ir is bonded to four equivalent V and eight equivalent Ir atoms to form distorted IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent VIr12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent VIr12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent IrV4Ir8 cuboctahedra. All Ir–Ir bond lengths are 2.71 Å.
