Tight aspect ratio tokamak experiments and prospects for the future
- Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE), Abingdon, UK
- ORNL
The present status of experimental results from low aspect ratiotokamaks is described, together with plans for physics experiments at themega-amp level. Further development of the concept, and its potentialfor a materials/component test facility or ultimately a fusion powerplant, are indicated.
