Title: Interpretation of the LHCb $P_{c} (4312)^{+}$ Signal

Abstract

We study the nature of the new signal reported by LHCb in the $J/Ψp$ spectrum. Based on the S-matrix principles, we perform a minimum-bias analysis of the underlying reaction amplitude, focusing on the analytic properties that can be related to the microscopic origin of the $$P_c$$(4312)⁺ peak. By exploring several amplitude parameterizations, we find evidence for the attractive effect of the $$Σ^+_c$$$$\bar{D}^0$$ channel, that is not strong enough, however, to form a bound state.

Plausibility of the LHCb $P_{c} {(4312)}^{+}$ in the GlueX $γ p \to J / ψ p$ total cross sections

New high-statistics total cross-section data for γp → J/ψp from the gluonic excitation (GlueX) experiment are fitted in a search for the exotic P_c(4312)⁺ state observed by the Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) Collaboration. The integrated luminosity of this GlueX experiment was about 320 pb^–1. The fits show that destructive interference involving an S-wave resonance and associated nonresonance background produces a sharp dip structure about 77 MeV below the LHCb mass, in the same location as a similar structure is seen in the data. Limitations of the employed model and the need for improved statistics are discussed.

We perform an analysis of the three-pion system with quantum numbers J^PC = 1⁺⁺ produced in the weak decay of tau leptons. The interaction is known to be dominated by the axial meson a₁(1260). Here, we build a model based on approximate three-body unitary and fix the free parameters by fitting it to the ALEPH data on τ^- → π^- π⁺- π^- ν_τ decay. We then perform the analytic continuation of the amplitude to the complex energy plane. The singularity structures related to the ππ subchannel resonances are carefully addressed. Studying the $P_{c} (4450)$ resonance in $J / ψ$ photoproduction off protons

In this study, a resonance-like structure, the P_c(4450), has recently been observed in the J/ψ p spectrum by the LHCb collaboration. We discuss the feasibility of detecting this structure in J/ψ photoproduction in the CLAS12 experiment at JLab. We present a first estimate of the upper limit for the branching ratio of the P_c(4450) to J/ψ p. Our estimates, which take into account the experimental resolution effects, lead to a sizable cross section close to the J/ψ production threshold, which makes future experiments covering this region very promising.

Explaining $g_{μ} - 2$ and $R_{K^{(*)}}$ using the light mediators of $U (1)_{T 3 R}$

Scenarios in which right-handed light Standard Model fermions couple to a new gauge group, U(1)_T3R, can naturally generate a sub-GeV dark matter candidate. But such models necessarily have large couplings to the Standard Model, generally yielding tight experimental constraints. We show that the contributions to g_u-2 from the dark photon and dark Higgs largely cancel out in the narrow window where all the experimental constraints are satisfied, leaving a net correction that is consistent with recent measurements from Fermilab. These models inherently violate lepton universality, and UV completions of these models can include quark flavor violation that can explain R_K(*)more »« less
