The low-energy recoiling ions from the beta decay of Sb-134 were studied by using the Beta-decay Paul Trap. Using this apparatus, singly charged ions were suspended in vacuum at the center of a detector array used to detect emitted beta particles,. rays, and recoil ions in coincidence. The recoil ions emerge from the trap with negligible scattering, allowing beta-decay properties and the charge-state distribution of the daughter ions to be determined from the beta-ion coincidences. Anomalous neutron yields confirmed for Ba-Mo and newly observed for Ce-Zr from spontaneous fission of ${}^{252}{Cf}$

We reinvestigated the neutron multiplicity yields of Ba-Mo, Ce-Zr, Te-Pd, and Nd-Sr from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf by (i) using both γ-γ-γ-γ and y-γ-γ coincidence data, (ii) using up to date level scheme structures, and (iii) crosschecking analogous energy transitions in multiple isotopes, we have achieved higher precision than previous analyses. Particular attention was given to the Ba-Mo pairs where our results clearly confirm that the Ba-Mo yield data have a second hot fission mode where 8–10, and now 11 neutron evaporation channels are observed. $β$ decay of ${}^{38, 40}{Si}$ ( $T_{z} = + 5, + 6$ ) to low-lying core excited states in odd-odd ${}^{38, 40}P$ isotopes

Low-lying excited states in P^38,40 have been identified in the β decay of T_z=+5,+6, Si^38,40. Based on the allowed nature of the Gamow-Teller (GT) decay observed, these states are assigned spin and parity of 1⁺ and are core-excited 1p1h intruder states with a parity opposite to the ground state. The occurrence of intruder states at low energies highlights the importance of pairing and quadrupole correlation energies in lowering the intruder states despite the N=20 shell gap.
