The differential rate equations describing the compartmental model of human high-density lipoprotein (HDL) were integrated by means of Laplace transforms and an exponential equation was obtained for each of the three compartments. These equations were used to fit the observed plasma decay data and give estimates for the rate constants of the system by means of a written computer program. Utilization of a bimodal curve to describe mathematically the distribution function W/sub phi/ for the duration of operation of an electric storage battery is considered. The parameter W/sub phi/ characterizes the distribution of the time of continuous functioning of the apparatus controlling electric storage battery operation. This is important: 90 to 95% of the energy demand is furnished by a wind- or solar-power unit in combined operation with an electric storage battery. 2 figures.

The different steps for green coke calcination like: water evaporation, drying, VCM-evaporation, VCM burning, heating-up ramps, soaking period are calculated with a mathematical model. The results are compared with practical experiences for regular calcined coke production and with sampling programs during calcination process. The results are important for adjusting calcination conditions to achieve best calcined coke quality.
