We present a measurement of the transverse single-spin asymmetry for π⁰ and η mesons in $p^↑ + p$ collisions in the pseudorapidity range |η| < 0.35 and at a center-of-mass energy of 200 GeV with the PHENIX detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. In comparison with previous measurements in this kinematic region, these results have factor-of-3-smaller uncertainties. As hadrons, π⁰ and η mesons are sensitive to both initial- and final-state nonperturbative effects for a mix of parton flavors. Study of $η$ and $η'$ Photoproduction at MAMI

The reactions γp → ηp and γp → η0p are measured from their thresholds up to the center-of-mass energy W ¼ 1.96 GeV with the tagged-photon facilities at the Mainz Microtron, MAMI. Differential cross sections are obtained with unprecedented statistical accuracy, providing fine energy binning and full production-angle coverage. A strong cusp is observed in the total cross section for η photoproduction at the energies in the vicinity of the η0 threshold, W ¼ 1896 MeV (Eγ ¼ 1447 MeV). Beam-Target Double-Spin Asymmetry $A_{LT}$ in Charged Pion Production from Deep Inelastic Scattering on a Transversely Polarized ${}^{3}{He}$ Target at $1.4 < Q^{2} < 2.7 {GeV}^{2}$

We report the first measurement of the double-spin asymmetry A_LT for charged pion electroproduction in semi-inclusive deep inelastic electron scattering on a transversely polarized ³He target. The kinematics focused on the valence quark region, 0.16 < x < 0.35 with 1.4 < Q² < 2.7 GeV². The corresponding neutron A_LT asymmetries were extracted from the measured ³He asymmetries and proton/³He cross section ratios using the effective polarization approximation. These new data probe the transverse momentum dependent parton distribution function g_1T^q and therefore provide access to quark spin-orbit correlations.
