When many independent users try to route traffic through a network, the flow can easily become suboptimal as a consequence of congestion of the most efficient paths. The degree of this suboptimality is quantified by the so-called \price of anarchy" (POA), but so far there are no general rules for when to expect a large POA in a random network. Critical Percolation Threshold for Solvation-Site Connectivity in Polymer Electrolyte Mixtures

Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based polymer electrolytes are often mixed with rigid, nonconductive polymers to improve mechanical strength. The suppressed conductivity of the mixture typically arises from a reduced segmental mobility and a diminished connectivity between conductive PEO sites. To decouple these two mechanisms, we compare transport in symmetric miscible blends and disordered block copolymers (BCP) of PEO and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). Because the two systems have identical physicochemical properties, differences in their conductivity directly reflect the underlying PEO network connectivity. Fragmentation of percolation clusters at the percolation threshold

A scaling theory and simulation results are presented for fragmentation of percolation clusters by random bond dilution. At the percolation threshold, scaling forms describe the average number of fragmenting bonds and the distribution of cluster masses produced by fragmentation. A relationship between the scaling exponents and standard percolation exponents is verified in one dimension, on the Bethe lattice, and for Monte Carlo simulations on a square lattice. These results further describe the structure of percolation clusters and provide kernels relevant to rate equations for fragmentation.

Neutron-scattering study of the random-exchange Ising system Fe[sub [ital x]]Zn[sub 1[minus][ital x]]F[sub 2] near the percolation threshold

Neutron-scattering measurements at [ital H]=0 in the dilute Ising antiferromagnet Fe[sub [ital x]]Zn[sub 1[minus][ital x]]F[sub 2], with [ital x]=0.25 and [ital x]=0.27, both concentrations above the percolation threshold [ital x][sub [ital p]]=0.24, show no long-range order upon cooling to [ital T]=2 K. For temperatures above the equilibrium boundary [ital T][sub eq]([ital H]), measured previously in magnetization studies of Fe[sub [ital x]]Zn[sub 1[minus][ital x]]F[sub 2] for [ital x]=0.25, the scattering line shapes at [ital H]=0 are adequately described by Lorentzian functions, whereas below they are better described by the sum of a Lorentzian and a squared Lorentzian.
