Searches for heavy Higgs bosons in two-Higgs-doublet models and for $t \to c h$ decay using multilepton and diphoton final states in $p p$ collisions at 8 TeV

Searches are presented for heavy scalar (H) and pseudoscalar (A) Higgs bosons posited in the two doublet model (2HDM) extensions of the standard model (SM). These searches are based on a data sample of pp collisions collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of √s=8 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb^-1. The decays H→hh and A→Zh, where h denotes an SM-like Higgs boson, lead to events with three or more isolated charged leptons or with a photon pair accompanied by one or more isolated leptons. New constraints on the charged Higgs sector in two-Higgs-doublet models

Two-Higgs-doublet models predict nonstandard physical effects through the interactions of charged Higgs scalars. We analyze the experimental measurements that bound these effects and quantify the resulting constraints on the charged-Higgs-boson mass and coupling parameter tan{beta}. We consider low-energy data relating to {ital B}{sub {ital d}}{sup 0}-{ital {bar B}}{sub {ital d}}{sup 0}, {ital D}{sup 0}-{ital {bar D}}{sup 0}, and {ital K}{sup 0}-{ital {bar K}}{sup 0} mixing, and high-energy measurements at {ital p{bar p}} colliders relating to searches for the top quark and events with large missing {ital E}{sub {ital T}}. Lepton-specific two-Higgs-doublet model: Experimental constraints and implication on Higgs phenomenology

We examine various direct and indirect constraints on the lepton-specific two-Higgs-doublet model and scrutinize the property of the Higgs bosons in the allowed parameter space. We find that in the allowed parameter space the CP-odd Higgs boson A is rather light (m{sub A}<30 GeV with 95% possibility), which is composed dominantly by the leptonic Higgs and decays dominantly into {tau}{sup +}{tau}{sup -}; while the standard-model-like Higgs boson h (responsible largely for electroweak symmetry breaking) decays dominantly in the mode h{yields}AA{yields}4{tau} with a large decay width, which will make the Higgs discovery more difficult at the LHC, whereas this scenario predictsmore »« less

Constraints on two-Higgs-doublet models at large tan {beta} from W and Z decays

We study constraints on type-II two-Higgs-doublet models at large tan {beta} from CERN LEP and SLD Z-pole data and from lepton universality violation in W decay. We perform a global fit and find that, in the context of Z decay, the LEP-SLD experimental values for lepton universality violation, R{sub b}, and A{sub b} all somewhat disfavor the model. Contributions from the neutral-Higgs sector can be used to constrain the scalar-pseudoscalar Higgs mass splittings. Contributions from the charged-Higgs sector allow us to constrain the charged-Higgs boson mass.
