The usual classical behavior of S = 3 / 2 , B -site ordered double perovskites generally results in simple, commensurate magnetic ground states. In contrast, combined magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, and neutron powder diffraction measurements for the S = 3 / 2 systems La 2 Na B' O 6 ( B' = Ru , Os) reveal an incommensurate magnetic ground state for La 2 NaRuO 6 and a drastically suppressed ordered moment for La 2 NaOsO 6 . Spin gaps in the ordered states of ${La}_{2} Li X O_{6} (X = Ru, Os)$ and their relation to the distortion of the cubic double perovskite structure in $4 d^{3}$ and $5 d^{3}$ magnets

Time-of-flight inelastic neutron scattering measurements have been carried out on polycrystalline samples of the 4d³ and 5d³ double pervoskite antiferromagnets La₂LiRuO₆ and La₂LiOsO₆. These reveal the development of an inelastic spin gap in La₂LiRuO₆ and La₂LiOsO₆ of ~1.8(8) and 6(1) meV, below their respective ordering temperatures TN, ~23.8 and 30 K. The bandwidths of the spin excitations are shown to be ~5.7(9)and12(1)meV, respectively, at low temperatures. Spin gaps are surprising in such magnets as the t_2g levels of Ru⁵⁺ or Os⁵⁺ are expected to be half-filled, resulting in an anticipated orbital singlet for both materials. We report searches for the processes e⁺ e^- → π⁺ π^- π⁰χ_bJ and e⁺ e^- → Φχ_bJ (J = 1,2) based on data samples collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. We report the first observation of the process e⁺ e^-- → ( π⁺ π^- π⁰) _{non - ω} χ _b1 and first evidence for e⁺ e^- → ωχ_bJ in the vicinity of the Υ(11020 ) resonance, with center-of-mass energies from 10.96 to 11.05 GeV.
