Phenomenological analysis for determining the magnetic moment and electic dipole moment form factors of the top quark via the reaction {ital e}{sup +}{ital e{minus}}{r arrow}{ital t{bar t}}, followed by the decays {ital t}{r arrow}{ital bW}{sup +} and {ital {bar t}}{r arrow}{ital {bar b}W}{sup {minus}}, is presented, with analytic expressions for the differential cross section and decay given. Electric dipole moment of the top quark within an effective theory

Using the effective Lagrangian approach, we develope the trilinear contributions originated in the dimension-six electroweak invariants O-tilde{sub W} = (1/3){epsilon}{sub ijk}W{sup i{mu}}{sub v}W{sup jv}{sub {lambda}}W{sup k{lambda}}{sub {mu}} and O-tilde{sub WB} = (1/2)B-tilde{sub {alpha}}{sub {beta}}W{sup c{alpha}}{sup {beta}}{phi}{sup {dagger}}{tau}{sup c}{phi}, and then we insert the corresponding vertices in a one-loop ttV diagram, with V off-shell, generating the structure of the electric dipole moment. Using a nonlinear gauge, we prove that the results are gauge independent. Finally, we present the analytic expressions for the electric dipole form factors originated in each invariant introduced.

Electric dipole moment of the top quark in Higgs-boson-exchange models of CP nonconservation

The leading contribution to the electric and the chromoelectric dipole moments of the top quark is calculated in Higgs-boson-exchange models of {ital CP} nonconservation. The dipole moments are typically of the order of 10{sup {minus}20} {ital e} cm and 10{sup {minus}20} {ital g} cm, respectively and arise at one-loop order through neutral-Higgs-boson exchange. Several two-loop contributions are estimated to be smaller by about 2 orders of magnitude for the electric case and about 1 order of magnitude smaller for the chromoelectric case. Top quark electric dipole moment in a minimal supersymmetric standard model extension with vectorlike multiplets

The electric dipole moment (EDM) of the top quark is calculated in a model with a vector like multiplet which mixes with the third generation in an extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. Such mixings allow for new CP violating phases. Including these new CP phases, the EDM of the top in this class of models is computed.
