Title: Method to reduce magnetization in high current density superconductors formed by reaction of multi-component elements in filamentary composite superconductors

Abstract

A method of producing multifilament superconducting Nb3Sn wire with low bridging potential during reaction by introducing a diffusion/reaction barrier between the filaments as a radial sheet. The barrier is made of Ta, Va, a NbTa alloy or other ductile material.
