Abstract

The Nab apparatus at the Fundamental Neutron Physics Beamline at the Spallation Neutron Source was designed to measure key observations in neutron beta decay, test the Standard Model's description of the weak interaction, and search for new physics. This data was collected using the Nab apparatus and are presented in the article "First Full Dalitz Plot Measurement in Neutron β-Decay using the Nab Spectrometer and Implications for New Physics." This data publication includes CSV (comma-separated values) files which are used to generate Figures 3 - 11 in the linked journal article.

High-resolution measurements of the DT neutron spectrum using new CD foils in the Magnetic Recoil neutron Spectrometer (MRS) on the National Ignition Facility

The Magnetic Recoil neutron Spectrometer (MRS) on the National Ignition Facility (NIF) measures the DT neutron spectrum from cryogenically layered Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) implosions. Yield, areal density, apparent ion temperature and directional fluid flow are inferred from the MRS data. This paper describes recent advances in MRS measurements of the primary peak using new, thinner, reduced-area deuterated plastic (CD) conversion foils. The new foils allow operation of MRS at yields 2 orders of magnitude higher than previously possible, at a resolution down to ~200 keV FWHM.

Dataset

NaB is Halite, Rock Salt structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na is bonded to six equivalent B atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing NaB6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Na–B bond lengths are 2.68 Å. B is bonded to six equivalent Na atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing BNa6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°.

Training and testing data for the SIAM MPI23 workshop "Model inversion for complex physical systems using low-dimensional surrogates". The data consists of ensembles of input and output pairs corresponding to queries of a 2D saturated groundwater flow model. The inputs consist of random vectors which map to discretized model parameter fields via a Kosambi-Karhunen-Loève expansion. Output corresponds to discretized pressure fields.

Searches for new physics signatures in low-energy electron recoils using a fiducial LXe mass of 5.5±0.2 t tonnes over a period of 60±1 live days. The following evidences of recoiling electrons from interactions with; - Solar axions - Axion-like particles - Hidden photons - Solar neutrino magnetic moment - Solar neutrino millicharge are investigated in the study. Full Rod Length Gamma Spectroscopy Measurements of LWR Used Fuel Rods

Dataset Smith, Susan K

Twenty-five high-burnup pressurized water reactor used fuel rods were scanned in the Irradiated Fuels Examination Laboratory at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with a high-resolution gamma spectrometer. A planar high-purity germanium detector was used across an energy range from 60 keV to 3 MeV. Gamma spectra of individual fuel rods were collected in 4.5 mm steps along the entire length of each rod. Additional spectra were collected on select rods in rotational increments of 30 degrees to provide data on the distribution of fission products along the rod perimeter.
