Abstract

This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site BR-Ma2 Manaus - ZF2 K34. Site Description - The K34 tower is deployed in a medium elevation plateau in the Cuieiras Biological Reserve, a primary forest area, property of INPA, 60Km north of Manaus, in the Km34 of the of the auxiliary road of the ZF2 Reserve.

Sapflow raw and translated data, 2015 - 2017, BR-Ma2: Manaus

Raw sapflow data from K34 tower site on a plateau near Manaus, Brazil. These are mostly raw data from the data loggers, except in the case of the ICT sensors where the datalogger output was translated using ICT software. One heat ratio sap flow sensor (SFM1, ICT international) was installed per tree. Tree biophysical characteristics for each tree were used with Sap Flow Tool version 1.4.1 (ICT International/Phyto-IT) to calculate sap velocities from raw data downloaded from the SFM1 sap flow sensors in the field. Soil water percolation flux measurements derived from six passive wick flux meters across three topographic positions (valley, slope and plateau). Data has been processed to compute the mean for each topographic position where two flux meters were installed at each topographic position. Missing data represented a few percent of the total data set and were filled using two approaches. Samples were collected from six passive wick flux meters across three topographic positions (valley, slope and plateau). Data has been processed to compute the monthly mean for each topographic position where two flux meters were installed at each topographic position. All samples were processed at the Geology, Geochemistry and Geomaterials Research Laboratory (GGRL) in Los Alamos, NM USA. This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site CA-MA2 Manitoba Agricultural Site 2. Site Description - This field had been in perennial forages (grass with small amount of legume) for several decades. Field size = 60 ha. In 2009, the producer tilled the land so that part of the summer had perennial forage, and the remainder was fallow (see effect outlined by Fraser and Amiro 2013). In 2010, oats were planted.
