Abstract

CERN-LHC. The data were recorded during 2010 with a total integrated luminosity of 35 pb-1. Exclusions at 95% CL are placed on two representative models. In the R-parity violating SUSY model, with tau sneutrinos and the leton flavour violating model with zprime like vector bosons. The exclusion limits are tabulated here.

CERN-LHC. Search for magnetic monopoles in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using data with a total integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb-1. Magnetic monopoles are characterized by large localized energy deposits in the LAr EM calorimeter (EMCLUSTER) in conjunction with a region of high ionization density in the transition radiation tracker, TRT. This record lists the efficiency for detection of such monopoles of two masses (200 and 1500 GeV) and the upper limits of the cross sections assuming production by Drell-Yan processes and in the fiducual region.
Search for lepton flavour violation in the emu continuum with the ATLAS detector in $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV $p p$ collisions at the LHC

CERN-LHC. Study of the opposite charge E-MU continuum produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The data, collected between March and August 2011, has a total integrated luminosity of 2.08 fb-1 and is used in a search for t-channel exchange of an R-parity violating scalar top quark and is found to be consistent with the expectations from Standard Model backgrounds. Search for heavy long-lived charged particles with the ATLAS detector in $p p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 7 TeV

Searches for long-lived particles reaching the muon spectrometer from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using a data sample of total integrated luminosity of 37 pb-1. A search is made for sleptons, acting as heavy muons, with the results are interpreted in the framework of gauge-mediated SUSY breaking (GMSB) with the stau as the heavy long-lived particle (LLP). A search is also made for R-hadrons from coloured LLPs (squark and gluinos), No excesses above backgrounds are observed.

A data sample of nearly 9 million events recorded by the ATLAS detector during a special LHC fill with low beam currents, and thus giving a low expected mean number of interactions, is used.
