The Portland Household Travel Survey was conducted under the auspices of the Oregon Department of Transportation to provide information suitable for gaining an in-depth understanding of the activity and travel behavior of both households in metropolitan areas and the individuals within those households. The first round of surveys collected household activity data from the four metropolitan planning organization areas around Portland, plus three extra counties (Marion, Polk, and Yamhill).
