Title: Materials Data on La3Hg by Materials Project

Abstract

La3Hg crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Hg atoms. There are two shorter (3.43 Å) and two longer (3.63 Å) La–Hg bond lengths. Hg is bonded to twelve equivalent La atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing HgLa12 cuboctahedra.
