Title: Materials Data on Yb3Pb by Materials Project

Abstract

Yb3Pb crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Pb atoms. There are two shorter (3.46 Å) and two longer (3.56 Å) Yb–Pb bond lengths. Pb is bonded to twelve equivalent Yb atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing PbYb12 cuboctahedra.
