Title: Materials Data on La2NiPt by Materials Project

Abstract

La2PtNi crystallizes in the orthorhombic Amm2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent La sites. In the first La site, La is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pt and three equivalent Ni atoms. All La–Pt bond lengths are 3.05 Å. There are one shorter (3.07 Å) and two longer (3.16 Å) La–Ni bond lengths. In the second La site, La is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Pt and four equivalent Ni atoms. There are two shorter (3.11 Å) and one longer (3.14 Å) La–Pt bond lengths. All La–Ni bond lengths are 3.03 Å. Pt is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to seven La and two equivalent Ni atoms. Both Pt–Ni bond lengths are 2.90 Å. Ni is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to seven La and two equivalent Pt atoms.
