Materials Data on CdClO by Materials Project
Abstract
CdOCl crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3mc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cd is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three equivalent O and four equivalent Cl atoms. All Cd–O bond lengths are 2.27 Å. There are three shorter (2.80 Å) and one longer (3.06 Å) Cd–Cl bond lengths. O is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent Cd atoms. Cl is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Cd atoms.
