Materials Data on CuS2 by Materials Project
Abstract
CuS2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbca space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two CuS2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Cu3+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent S+1.50- atoms. There are two shorter (2.32 Å) and two longer (2.34 Å) Cu–S bond lengths. S+1.50- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Cu3+ atoms.
