Title: Materials Data on NdAl2Ni by Materials Project

Abstract

NdNiAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Nd is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ni and ten equivalent Al atoms. There are one shorter (2.98 Å) and two longer (3.20 Å) Nd–Ni bond lengths. There are a spread of Nd–Al bond distances ranging from 3.20–3.45 Å. Ni is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Nd and six equivalent Al atoms. There are two shorter (2.44 Å) and four longer (2.50 Å) Ni–Al bond lengths. Al is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Nd and three equivalent Ni atoms.
