Materials Data on SrLu by Materials Project
Abstract
SrLu crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded to six equivalent Sr and six equivalent Lu atoms to form SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra. All Sr–Sr bond lengths are 3.76 Å. All Sr–Lu bond lengths are 3.82 Å. Lu is bonded to six equivalent Sr and six equivalent Lu atoms to form LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent LuSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent SrSr6Lu6 cuboctahedra. All Lu–Lu bond lengths are 3.76 Å.
