Title: Materials Data on MgBe2Pt by Materials Project

Abstract

MgBe2Pt crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two MgBe2Pt ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Be atoms. Both Mg–Be bond lengths are 2.50 Å. Be is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg and one Pt atom. The Be–Pt bond length is 2.06 Å. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Be atoms.
