Title: Materials Data on Na2Ge(S2O7)3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Na2Ge(S2O7)3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic P2_12_12_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.36–2.78 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form distorted NaO6 pentagonal pyramids that share corners with six SO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.41–2.65 Å. Ge4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form GeO6 octahedra that share corners with six SO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Ge–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–1.92 Å. There are six inequivalent S6+ sites. In the first S6+ site, S6+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one GeO6 octahedra, a cornercorner with one NaO6 pentagonal pyramid, and a cornercorner with one SO4 tetrahedra.
