Title: Materials Data on RuC by Materials Project

Abstract

RuC crystallizes in the trigonal R-3m space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of three RuC sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Ru4+ is bonded in a distorted T-shaped geometry to three equivalent C4- atoms. All Ru–C bond lengths are 2.05 Å. C4- is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to three equivalent Ru4+ and one C4- atom. The C–C bond length is 1.40 Å.
