Title: Materials Data on BPt3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Pt3B crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Pt3B ribbons oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Pt is bonded in a distorted L-shaped geometry to two equivalent B atoms. Both Pt–B bond lengths are 2.18 Å. B is bonded to six equivalent Pt atoms to form distorted face-sharing BPt6 pentagonal pyramids.
