Title: Materials Data on OsClF8 by Materials Project

Abstract

OsF6ClF2 is beta-prime cadmium gold structured and crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of two osmium hexafluoride molecules and two ClF2 clusters. In each ClF2 cluster, Cl is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to two equivalent F atoms. Both Cl–F bond lengths are 1.62 Å. F is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Cl atom.
