Title: Materials Data on Mn2H30C9N3Cl7 by Materials Project

Abstract

MnCl4MnCl3(C3H7NH3)3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3mc space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two mangantetrachlorid molecules; six trimethylazanium molecules; and one MnCl3 ribbon oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In the MnCl3 ribbon, Mn2+ is bonded to six equivalent Cl1- atoms to form face-sharing MnCl6 octahedra. All Mn–Cl bond lengths are 2.56 Å. Cl1- is bonded in a distorted L-shaped geometry to two equivalent Mn2+ atoms.
