Materials Data on UIr3 by Materials Project
Abstract
UIr3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U is bonded to twelve equivalent Ir atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing UIr12 cuboctahedra. All U–Ir bond lengths are 2.86 Å. Ir is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent U atoms.
