This chapter establishes an overall strategy for implementing a generic water management pollution prevention program. Approaches are presented for both reduced water usage and minimizing wastewater generation. Projects of this nature are typically performed by a pollution prevention (P2) team that has experience in water management and includes representatives with backgrounds in plant production, economics, and facilities. Company management involvement and commitment are also important for the pollution prevention program to be successful.
