Chilled water storage is an effective means of reducing electric charges and avoiding the cost of purchasing additional chilled water producing equipment when demand exceeds capacity. Chilled water storage systems also offer benefits less commonly recognized: system redundance, energy consumption reduction, increased cooling capacity, improved response times to changes in cooling loads, enhanced operational flexability, and improvement in the overall ability of the work force also result through its application.
