Erratum: Lattice-Boltzmann algorithm for simulating thermal two-phase flow [ Phys. Rev. E 61, 5295 (2000) ]

Journal Article · · Physical Review. E, Statistical Physics, Plasmas, Fluids, and Related Interdisciplinary Topics, 69(4):Article no: 049903

Some errors made in the original paper are described and the results of corrected calculations are discussed. Appropriate revisions to the conclusions of the original article are made. The original paper described a lattice Boltzmann algorithm that could be used for simulating multiphase thermal flows and was targeted at simulating thermally driven phase changes, such as evaporation. Correcting the errors suggests that the algorithm can no longer be used for simulating phase change but can still be used to model thermal flows in single phase systems.
