Argon KM photoelectron satellites.

Journal Article · · J. Electron Spectros. Related Phenomena
Satellite structure in the Ar K-shell photoelectron spectrum due to M-shell excitations was recorded at X-ray energies 122-422 eV above threshold. Relativistic, multiconfiguration shake-theory calculations give a good overall match to the main satellite features, showing that electron correlation in this case is qualitatively well described by the relaxation model. Conjugate satellite intensities appear to be negligible at the X-ray energies used in the experiment.
