XAFS investigation of the structure and valency of nickel in some oxycompounds.
We report on the valency and local structure of nickel in {alpha}-Ni(OH){sub 2}, {beta}-Ni(OH){sub 2}, Ni{sub 2}O{sub 3}{center_dot}6H{sub 2}O, Ni{sub 3}O{sub 2}(OH){sub 4}, {beta}-NiOOH, {gamma}-NiOOH, NiO{sub 2} and NiKIO{sub 6}.
